The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced that Presidential Candidates for the various Political parties in the general elections will pay a filing fee of GHC100,000 while Parliamentary candidates will pay GHC10,000.
The announcement was made by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Jean Mensa on Monday, September 14, 2020.

The commission also announced that filing will be officially opened to various candidates from October 5 to October 9, 2020.
The filing fee for presidential candidates prior to the 2016 general elections was GHC50,000.
