The Flag-bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC) John Dramani Mahama demands elec toral cleansing from the electoral commision .
Addressing the media in a press conference in Accra on Thursday 24th September 2020, John Mahama said the electoral commision have to take immediate steps to rectify the voters register and re-exhibit.

“We will certainly not look on, neither will we shirk our civic responsibility and allow the EC, whether by ill intent or sheer incompetence, to usurp the people’s mandate in the December 7 polls.”
“The EC must take immediate steps to rectify and sanitise the register and re-exhibit it, to afford the voting public and all stakeholders, an opportunity to verify their particulars in the voter register before it is finalised”, he added.
The electoral commision issued a press statement yesterday to rejected the claims of the opposition NDC. In their statement the EC described NDC’s allegation as unfounded.
