The President of the Republic,Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says former President John Mahama should not be trusted when he says he will restore teachers and nursing trainee allowance.
Speaking at Bibiani at the end of his 3-day tour of the Western-North Region on Saturday, 26 September 2020, President Akufo-Addo mentioned that he begged former president John Mahama to restore allowances but he said if it means to loose the 2016 elections then so be it but today he has changed his tongue because he has restored the trainee allowances.

“We begged him to restore them but he was adamant to the extent that he said if that would mean he losing the 2016 elections, so be it”,he said
“I restored the teacher and nurse training allowances, and now he has changed his tongue again”,he added.
President Akufo-Addo ended his three days tour in the Western North yesterday 26th September 2020.
