The Presidential Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has stated that his reason for choosing Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is because he believes women are equal to men.
According to the former president John Mahama the voice of women should be heard hence the reason he chose Prof.Naana Jane.

John Mahama revealed in a recorded message to the people of Ghana.
“Just like you, I believe women are equal to men, and their voice should always be heard. This is why I chose Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, as my running mate,” he said.
“Just like you, I believe mothers are sacred, and they deserve quality time with their newborn babies. This is why we are increasing the maternity leave for mothers to four months”,he added.
