Mr. Samuel Payne, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said they are not worried of Okada campaign of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) which is receiving clout because most riders of Okada are already NDC members.
Mr Sam Payne says the issue of legalizing Okada will not affect them to lose 2020 election no matter how the NDC will propagate and promote the message. And he said that with surety.
Ghgossip.com monitoring his interview on GBC radio programme “Behind the News” he said ““Let me be very honest with you, the majority of the people who use “okada” are already with the NDC so this thing is not going to change anything.”
He continued to assume that per his research date across the region, most Okada riders are already pro members of NDC party, and also, larger percentage voted in the 2016 election and hence, the few numbers added to the new EC Voters Register will in no way affect the results of December 7 polls to cause NPP losing to NDC.
He has therefore calmed NPP members to take haert and focus on voting massivly for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP on December 7 at the polls.
