The Minister Of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah together with the Ghana Health Service has announced an imminent house to house coronavirus testing to curb the spread of the virus.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s press briefing, Dr. Nsiah Asare explained that health workers will go to the restricted areas (Accra, Kumasi and Tema) to test people on the virus to prevent the areas from becoming epidemic centres. Going further, he pleaded with Ghanaians to stay calm as numbers will shoot up from the test but will drop once treatment begins.
The Minister added that there will be other teams stationed at unrestricted areas to carry out further tests since it will be a nationwide program. He seconded Dr. Nsiah’s comment that Ghanaians shouldn’t panic when test cases shoot up.
