The minister of Education, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has disclosed that the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) is currently full following the increase number of covid19 cases transferred to the facility.

He was detained at the UGMC on 24 June, 2020, after feeling unwell and later tested positive for covid19.

Speaking with Accra base Peace Fm, he revealed that he subsequently tested positive while on admission.

He indicated that he was on admission for four days when the test was conducted and after the test appeared positive he was discharged and detained for almost two weeks.

Napo explained that Ghana is in critical condition as the Korle Bu Teaching hospital and UGMC is currently full with no bed.

“I never visited the ICU but others went and never returned” he added.
