The Ghana Police Service has reminded the public to comply with the COVID-19 restrictions imposed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to stop the spread of the virus ahead of the 2021 Easter Celebrations.
Police Service in a statement indicated that although churches and mosques can hold services no later than two hours, public meetings such as conventions, crusades, pilgrimages cannot be held during the season.

The statement also said that the holding of any carnival, festival, beach gathering, street dance, procession, parade, and similar event will be illegal.
However, outdoor drinking venues can operate as long as they comply with all other COVID-19 protocols, ”he added.
Tourist sites and attractions received the green light to operate within the season, “as long as they guarantee the use of face masks, social distancing and greater hygiene by all customers.”
“The public is reminded that it is illegal to conduct funerals. Private burials can be held with a maximum of twenty-five people if they are held outside the church or religious facility.
For church or religious burial services, the maximum number of participants must be one hundred. In all cases, it is expected that the COVID-19 protocols will be complied with and the maximum duration will be two hours, ”the statement clarified.
