A 23-year-old Ghanaian-Canadian man identified as Michael Oppong Berchie has reportedly been shot dead in Toronto, Province of Ontario in Canada.

According to an eyewitness, they heard multiple gunshots but upon getting to the scene, a vehicle was seen driving at a very high speed leaving the scene. The vehicle was believed to have been driven by the assailants who committed the crime.

The Toronto Police also revealed that this is the ninth time an incident like this is being reported in the city this year and appealed to the general public to help in the arrest of the assailants.

“Two suspects described as being in all dark clothing were observed fleeing the scene in the suspect vehicle, which is described as a light-colored four-door compact SUV. It was last seen travelling westbound Lawrence Avenue West and then southbound Dufferin Street, the police further stated.

However, the  Ontario Provincial government never expected that there will be crime after the imposed a lockdown in the city following the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.
