Social media has become a powerful tool which is being used by good people to expose the ills of the society and it just refreshing to note that it gives instant results within a relatively short time.
A Ghanaian Facebook user identified as Michael Nimoh has EXPOSED a contractor who is using a 6-inch block without any iron rod to build a water canal instead of using concrete.
His timely post comes at time when Accra has predictably been submerged under floods these past few days after intermittent heavy downpour.
Many of the activities that lead to the floods are as a result of our poor drainage system and bad lifestyle such as dumping rubbish into gutters.
Building more gutters to accommodate the mass of water which is accumulated as a result of the perennial floods is imperative and that’s why Micheal finds it puzzling that this unnamed contractor is compromising the quality of his job to pose dire consequences to the inhabitants later on.
Micheal posted;
“This is what the contractor on the Pokuasi Interchange is doing. Using a 6inch block with no iron rod to build a water canal instead of concrete. No engineers to supervise n when it breaks down it becomes a National topic n we blame residents.”
