Reports indicate that some group of Ghanaian soldiers in South Sudan are offering free tuition to secondary school students in the war-torn country.

As part of relief services that are being granted, these Ghanaian soldiers are offering free tuition to students at the Aweil National Secondary School.

This move is being done in conjunction with the Relief, Rehabilitation and Protection (RRP) Department of United Nations Mission In South Sudan (UNMISS).

Subjects being taught by these soldiers include Mathematics, English Language and Christian Religious Studies.

The Headmaster of the School, Philip Upathio expressed his profound gratitude stating that he’s very intrigued having soldiers from Ghana volunteering to offer free teaching to the students.
