Ghanaians on social media have applauded the Ghana Police Service for their response to the alleged shooting of Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is widely known in showbiz as Shatta Wale.

It could be recalled that Ghanaians were left stunned after it went viral that Shatta Wale has been shot at East Legon and it became more confusing when Shatta Wale made a post saying the shooting incident was actually a prank.

The Ghana Police Service showed they were on top of matters by giving some updates about the incident and the latest update was that the musician has been arrested. He was arrested for causing unnecessary fear and panic in the public domain.

It is because of this that Ghanaians are applauding the police and below are some of the reactions;

Bhimwaa Shayness – Please kindly add pictures with handcuffs I want to see sumtin🙏🙏🙏.
Will show it to my children oneday.

Dora Maame Afia Yeboah – Now you can’t do “April Fool ” in Ghana 🇬🇭 in peace again ooo 🤣 🤣 Mr IGP bravoo✌️

Felix Anarfi Boafo – The new Ghana is safe no more jokes and concerts biaa. Good job but Ghana police can you go and arrest Formal President John Dramani Mahama for allegedly saying Electoral Commission Tom printed 100,000 ballots papers in favour of NPP to come and provide evidence since to me this is equally disturbing public peace.

Newton-Offei Justice Abeeku – I vowed to withdraw my support and respect for George Akuffo-Dampare (PhD), if Shatta Wale happened to pull a hoax with his shooting story, and the police failed to arrest and charge him but the man has made me beat a quick retreat🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥😀😀😀

Komlavi Koukoui – This days I’m in so much love with our fantastic Ghana police service 💕
I really criticize them a lot though but at this period I think they are doing something significant and they deserve applaud 👏

Lydia Thursday – There was this Dampare I rejected in my school days,the current IGP is making me regret my actions towards that young Dampare 😎

Eugene Osei-Tutu – When the mouth is bigger than the brain. Needless prank. Our top stars must behave as such and serve as moral compasses, not broken records. After Takoradi, at least he should’ve learnt a lesson or two. Ah well.

Francis Kennedy Ocloo – Thank you Ghana Police. We are grateful for your hardwork.

Ampong Sarah – Good job . He should stay der for 6 months , he won’t do that rubbish again. Gyimi3 saaa all in the name of celebrity
