Ghanaian Gospel musician, Akesse Brempong has declared that Ghanaians do not support their own art as compared to other African countries and their arts.

Akesse disclosed that Nigerians and South Africans showed tremendous support which was awesome during an interview with DJ Advicer on Happy 98.9fm.

He said, “The thing about Nigerians is that they cherish their language. They would rather you sing a Nigerian song to them than coming to sing an English song so you have to find a way of connecting with them first. You have to give them what they’re familiar with before you delve into what they’re not familiar with”.

The musician also revealed that it is not easy to breakthrough in Ghana simply because they do not support their own acts but then Nigerians who are so in love with their own art lead to easy breakthrough especially when you do it together with a Nigerian artist.
