Ghanaian international, Michael Essien set himself up for drags when he openly declared his support to the LGBT community in his native land, Ghana.

Recall Ghgossip.com earlier reported news about Essien advocating for the legalization and equal rights for the members of the LGBT community. In a post he made on his Instagram page, he shared a photo that describes Ghana as a country that supports equal rights and added the caption;
“”We see you, we hear you, we support you. Our LGBTQIA plus Community in Ghana. #ghanasupportequality 🇬🇭🤝🏿. ”
The post did not sink in with Ghanaians following him on the photo-sharing app. As a result, he was heavily lambasted for supporting an act that is highly disregarded and against the laws and culture.
