His excellency, president Akuffo Addo, has announced a 3 month electricity bill absorption for all Ghanaians.
Speaking on his 6th state of the nation address on the measures taken against spread of coronavirus in Ghana, the president announced that government will fully absorb electricity bills for lifeline consumers. For all other consumers, government will absorb 50% of their electricity bill, using their March 2020 bill as the benchmark.
The Ghana Water Company and the Electricity Company Of Ghana have been charged to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply to all homes in the country.
