Veteran Journalist and Host of Peace FM’s morning show Kokrokoo Kwame Safa Kayi has expressed his disappointment on 45,000 dollars payment the government made to former Boxer D.k Poison.

According to him if the country is strictly going by law ,it shouldn’t have paid that money because there was no documentation to back the suggested amount been owed.

“Truth to be told, if you go into law, it’s not a legitimate transaction. No paper exists to prove that government took the money from him”, Kwami Sefa Kayi stated.

Adding that:“Agreement made with government by word of mouth does not hold water in law. How do you justify the payment of $45,000 plus interest on a loan that that was done in 2020 with no paper work?”.

D.K. Poison said that he earned a purse of $75,000 from an international bout but was paid an amount of 34,000 old cedis, through a transfer at the then Barclays Bank, which was equivalent to $30,000 at the time.
