Asamoah Gyan watched on hopelessly from the stands as Legon Cities were pummeled 3-0 by Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Olympics produced an exceptional performance that saw them dominate Legon Cities from start to finish in the Ghana Premier League encounter.

Gyan was again not in action because he is yet to be passed fit to play competitive football, having stayed at home for more than 11 months.

Olympics first two goals came from a set-piece – Gladson Awako scored a free-kick few minutes to half time and then captain Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye converted a penalty eight minutes after the break.

Samuel Ashie-Quaye sealed the win with a fantastic strike in the 83rd minute.

The win means Olympics are top of the league while Legon Cities find themselves in the drop zone.
