A 27-year-old hairdresser identified as Hilda Asumani has been arrested by the police at Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality for allegedly stabbing her lover to death after being denied grasscutter soup.

The deceased, Prince Yaw Aboagye has reportedly been in the relationship with the suspect for six years before the unfortunate tragedy occurred.
According to some of their co-tenants said that the couple had been involved in a series of unwarranted quarrels for some time over the man’s alleged adultery.
Hilda later took Prince’s phone, causing a dispute that was eventually settled, but she refused to return his phone.
According to police sources, the two lovebirds got into another quarrel when Prince, the deceased denied the suspect a grass cutter soup he was enjoying on Monday evening.
Hilda was said to have stabbed the deceased multiple times with a scissors as multiple wounds was seen on the neck and cheek of the deceased.
Hilda then tried to stop the oozing blood from flowing but unfortunately all her efforts proved futile as her boyfriend continued to bleed to he died.
Tenants in the house found Prince lying in front of their room dead in a pool of blood. He was immediately deposited to the morgue for autopsy and preservation while the suspect is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
