Mostly men prefer to go for ladies that they (men) have a ‘higher position’ and earn bigger than them. The feeling of intimidation when a man is dating a hardworking lady is very real.Popular TV and radio host, Deloris Frimpong-Manso, aka Delay, has revealed that it is quite normal for a man to be intimidated by a hardworking lady.
In her view, when a man approaches a hardworking lady, the man somehow feels a little bit uneasy, especially when the lady earns higher. She also claimed that hardworking ladies are presumed to be ‘high class ladies’ in our part of the world.
She was responding to questions on why she is not married yet.
“…, you meet someone you really like, like a Ghanaian guy you really like…, later people will send messages to the guy and will be asking questions like ‘can you really contain this lady?’, ‘why don’t you go for your type?’…”, she said in her reply.
She claimed such people do that consistently that the man will feel uncomfortable and fed up with the situation and eventually decide to leave.
So basically, our dear Delay is not married just because her relationships ‘hit the rock’ due to gossips.
