CorpNation Foundation’s inter-community football gala has commenced.
The event which is set to be running for the next six (6) weeks is aimed at unearthing the next generation of football stars. Additionally, the tournament is being held is to promote and foster unity in sister communities.
In all, 12 teams will be taking part and these teams are Top Ten, Amanful, Go Man Go, Apofee, Hi Brand, Sulele, Sekondi Station, Supreme, Columbia, Presby, Quarters Morocco, and No.3.
The tournament started on September 28 at Sulele Park and the first match played was between Presby and Morocco.
The event was attended by a host of football resource persons who really wants to bring back the love of football in the Western Region.
The opening ceremony saw the leader of CorpNation Foundation, Savior Adzika who is known as Corp Sayvee give an address on how the foundation plans to execute the tournament to perfection.
At the end of the first match between Morocco and Presby, it was Morocco who carried the day with the scoreline being 1-0.
The goal was scored by Paa Kwesi Ofei and the man of the match award went to Nana Neizer of Presby Quarters.
