Renowned Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o showed why he owns the red carpet once again as he wore diamonds worth $3.5M.

In addition to the diamonds, she also stunned in a Louis Vuitton gown embellished with 32,000 sequins and crystals to the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Her custom gown was created with Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière and it was inspired by the cruise 2020 collection.

The dress has a white satin draped bustier and intricate floral embroidery on the body and skirt.

The dress is embellished with 20,000 sequins and 12,000 glass beads. It is reported that it took more than 1,400 hours to complete and over 106 hours just to cut and assemble the dress from a pattern.

She wore three rings from Forevermark, Forevermark by Rahaminov and Forevermark by Premier Gem and they also include 23 carats of diamonds.

The two bracelets she wore by Forevermark and Forevermark by Rahaminov also included over 33 carats of diamonds.

The talent was styled by Micaela Erlanger, with hairstylist Vernon Francois, makeup artist Nick Barose and nail artist Vanessa Sanchez McCullough.

The Kenyan star was nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor In A Lead Role honour for Us, but she lost to actress Renée Zellweger, for Judy.
