It turns out that Nigerian students are not only befitting from qualified teachers and great teaching environment in the United States of America, they also boosting the growth of the American economy as well.

What this means is that since Nigeria is one of the top countries that has a lot of students in America, their fees and every other expenses relative to their tuition goes into America economy.

An official report released earlier this week indicates that there are 13,423 Nigerians presently in the United States studying and by so doing, contributed $514 million (N186,325,000,000) to the country’s economy in 2018.

The data could be found in the 2019 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange which was released by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The report also shows that Nigeria is in tthe 11th place among countries with foreign students in the US, accounting for 1.2% of the total number of 1,095,299 international students in the country.
