Much has been said about the best senior high schools in Ghana. However, there are also some schools which are perceived to have a reputation for producing “bad” boys or “stubborn” guys.
It has never been unusual to hear of students from some Senior High Schools (SHS’s) engaged in one form of truancy or the other.
Most people in society often reminisce about some of the days of truancy at the SHS.

1. Kumasi High School
Kumasi High School often referred to as KUHIS, is a boys’ senior high school in the Ashanti region of Ghana. It was established in 1962, by S. K. Amoah. The students are known collectively as Mmerantee. It is located in Gyinyase near Ahinsan Estate.
At no occasion would you not find Kumasi High Students at a clash with other schools during inter-schools and colleges. As a matter of fact, the word ‘notoriety’ best describes them. Aside all this the school is proud to have the Late Finance Minister Kwadwo Baah Wiredu, Dr.Kwaku Frimpong, Chief Executive Officer of Champion Divine Clinic and a host of others as old boys.
