Information we have picked from random discussions on social media has it that Sarkodie, one of the main headliners of the Reign album, won’t partake in the official launch.
This largely has to do with Shatta Wale’s reckless comments he made on Hitz FM recently with King Lagazee.
Shatta Wale surprised many listeners of the show when he revealed that Sarkodie disrespected him for showing allegiance to Nigerian artistes at his expense.
Additionally, the controversial artiste released one of his volatile videos and insulted Sarkodie in plain language for the same the ‘offense’, saying he doesn’t understand why he fails to talk about the ills of the music industry but choose to express his views on politics through his music.
These two instances are happen to be the straw which broke Obidi’s feeble back and according snippets of information we go, Sarkodie is likely to pull out of the Reign album launch although his name has been on the bill.
Shatta Wale mentioned that Sarkodie, Stonegracebwoy, Samini, Yaa Pono and a couple of other musicians will grace the occasion but judging from the foregoing, we doubt if this will materialize.
The Reign album launch is going down live at the Fantasy Dome at Accra International Trade Fair Centre.
