Sarkodie has been rumored to be a sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) of which he even heaped praises on the President in his “Happy Day” song. Per speculations on the internet and critics on social media, Sarkodie has been contracted by the NPP to aid them in convincing the majority to sympathize with the NPP.
Kwame A-Plus, a political enthusiast has slammed the rapper over his refusal to condemn the NPP government over their ill-governance.
According to him, Sarkodie reprimanded the John Mahama-led government when they were in power, tagging them of being incompetent but has refused to chastise the Akufo Addo-led government over the hardship they have subjected Ghanaians to. He describes the rapper’s reluctance as hypocrisy.
He wrote on Facebook; The hypocrisy….. During John Mahama time as president the hardship was caused by his incompetence abi? Now there is serious hardship under Akufo Addo, instead of telling him the truth you added “we always do” to make you look good before them. When you spoke about hardship under John Mahama didn’t “we always do?” Or we were living in San Diego before he became president?
