Ghanaian actress and former host of TV3’s flagship entertainment programme, Music Music, Gloria Sarfo says she won’t take any offense if she’s branded a slay queen.
She explained;
“I have had so many instances where I was compared to them, but I don’t get angry. I don’t get offended because they are equally doing what they feel is good for them and I can’t discriminate.”
“But then again I can only caution that some of us were here when they came. People were there before us and so we didn’t meet the industry this way. They also didn’t meet us the way they are portraying the industry lately. That wasn’t how they met us,” she added.
A slay queen is a woman who wants to choke everyone else with how beautiful and cool they are. Social media and slay queen are like bedfellows and over time the term has come to mean a person who looks broke on the inside but display flashy lifestyle publicly.
