Former Governor of Rivers State Rotimi Amaechi has intimated that he won’t be speaking on Gov Wike’s issue after he alleged to have taught him a political lesson.

Meanwhile, Governor Wike who was the Rotimi’s Chief of Staff while he served as Governor from 2007 to 2015 also held his predecessor accountable for diverting the state’s resources but then the Transportation minister has slammed all allegations over and over again.

On Thursday, March 11, speaking on Arise TV, Amaechi noted that he won’t bring himself ‘low’ to address the issue of the governor. According to him, he has made his point and has nothing more to discuss about.

He said;

“I don’t think I want to address the issue of the governor, I have made my point and I have moved on.

“He was my staff, I can’t bring myself low. I was a governor, I was also a speaker, I’m a minister. I was two-term chairman of governors’ forum. The same when I was a speaker. Why should I be discussing him?”

Also, he slammed allegations of calling Gov. Wike a drunk. He said;

“I only said that I don’t make statements under the influence of alcohol. Some people are attaching meaning to what I say.”
