President Nana Akufo Addo has made a shocking revelation on 2020 elections says he is not decided to seek re-election.
Speaking on a visit to his alma mater, Lancing School in the United Kingdom, the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo made it clear that his mind is not made up about seeking re-election to the presidency in 2020.
In a news item sighted on yen, the Daily Graphic quoted him as saying: “My party is keen on the agenda that I go again in 2020; we will see.” He elaborated he has not yet come to a conclusion.
Akufo-Addo won the presidency in his third attempt in 2016 against then-incumbent John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Akufo-Addo’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) polled about 54% of the valid votes.
Meanwhile, John Mahama, on the other hand, is entitled to one more term as the Constitution dictates.
