In our Ghanaian society, profane is considered as a bad thing. But it seems popular Ghanaian musician, Yaa Pono holds a different view.
In a recent interview, Yaa Pono stated emphatically that, profane songs are sometimes good.
He was speaking on Hitz FM’s ‘DaybreakHitz’ program hosted by Andy Dosty.
“I do profane music. Sometimes profane music is good. You should be clever to be able to pursue profane music”, Yaa Pono said in the interview.
He also added that, although he likes to do profane songs, sometimes he tries to filter his lyrics since he has a huge audience.
