Despite the widespread popularity of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy who have complete duopoly over the Dancehall fraternity, Samini said he still reigns as the King of Dancehall because he is always evergreen.
He said:
“As far as I am concerned I am sitting on my throne and minding my own business, hashtag my own business. I ain’t never move, I ain’t never shaken. I see a lot of people crop up, I see an established nation that I am proud of, I am happy”.
Once you think you have to ask me whether I am on my throne or not, it means you still see me there, God makes kings and people see the manifestation in them. We’ve seen nations rise and fall, and we’ve seen nations thrive and observe.”
