Musician turned evangelist, Lord Kenya says he helped Okomfuor Kwadee because he was in a similar situation. He recounted the number of times he had drifted away from his senses and thus cannot look down on rehabilitating people.

He made this comment following a threatened legal action by Okomfuor Kwadee’s family
against him and other industry players. In an interview with Luv FM’s Anita on Showbiz Xtra, Lord Kenya added that many people who have undergone recovery find it difficult to integrate comfortably into society, so his Church has become a sanctuary for them instead.

“All these victims out there, if it’s not Lord Kenya’s Church, they can’t go anywhere. Find out from DJ Apuzo how many times I’ve been off. Whenever I see cases like that, it makes me ask myself that it could have been me. I am now an evangelist by God’s grace, should I look down on these people? Of course not, I would do my best to help them,” he said. According to Lord Kenya, he is shocked that Kwadee’s family would restrict access to him by threatening to sue others when all of them have the best interest of the rapper at heart.

He claims the best thing he did for Kwadee was introducing him to Christ and accepting Him as
his Lord and Savior. Lord Kenya further dismissed claims that he was attempting to take credit for these happenings as he has never earned a penny from anyone to help Okomfuor Kwadee.
