Veteran actress, Georgina Onuoha has taken to social media to vent out her frustration at the worsening condition of the nation.
According to the actress, she believes Nigeria is one of the most endowed countries in the world in terms of human resources but due to certain challenges, the nation is lagging behind in health care. She advocated for a positive change in the structure of the working environment.
She captioned her post as: What will be your initiative if you have the chance to change Nigeria 🇳🇬 for good?
Well as for me, I believe my contribution will be towards advancing the healthcare sector in Nigeria as a health information specialist.

Nigeria has the best doctors and nurses around the globe, sadly back home there is a huge deficiency because of inadequate infrastructure that helps facilitate the environment for quality health care delivery. As a result of this many of our talented clinicians are fleeing, misdiagnoses killing many and we have bunch of patients who are not informed about their healthcare need and status. I believe that an informed patient is an empowered patient and the if the environment adequate, our doctors will provide great healthcare, sadly this is far fetched given the poor state of the nation and the government’s inability to provide incentives for such system to thrive.
I want to bring that change , that is why I am joining hands with @ruggedybaba for this wonderful initiative.
