Songtress Sista Afia explains that her decision to distance herself from dancehall star Shatta Wale was to build a career on her own.
Sista appreciates that Shatta Wale gave her several platforms to grow while she was fresh in the music industry.
However, with time, she noted that she needed to distance herself or or she will be noted as one of his militants.
She said “Shatta Wale gave me a lot of platforms; and I was all over him. He supported me but I wanted to be on my own. So I had to distance myself from him so people don’t see me as one of his militants”.
