Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor in a recent submission with The PUNCH spoke about her marriage to her late husband.
The actress is one of the actresses who got married at a very young age. For her, she got married at the young age of 19.
According to her, she was forced to marry the man as he mother didn’t want her to go astray and bring shame to their family.
She stated that her mother, just like other African mothers, was very strict and a disciplinarian so she had no option than to give in and marry the man although she felt nothing for him.
It could be recalled the actress lost her husband twenty years ago, however, because of her four children she might look back and be proud that she listened to her mother although she forced her.
