Ghanaian Afrobeat/Afropop singer, Gregory Bortey Newman, widely known in the music scenes as King Promise has revealed that he had hopes of picking an award during the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards but he got disappointed.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz Fm’s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, King Promise stated that he even wished to have won in all the categories he was nominated in but he was disappointed at the end of the night.

King Promise revealed that he was disappointed after not being mentioned as a winner in any of the categories but he was never heartbroken for that reason.

“I was disappointed and not heartbroken because I’m human so it is normal to be disappointed. I thought I could have won but at the end of the day it is what it is”, he said.

In other news, Ghanaian entertainment pundit, Kwame Asare Obeng, widely known as Kwame A-Plus has registered his displeasure about Abena Korkor’s abnormality, saying her behavior is a result of the weed she consumes frequently.

Speaking in an interview on the United Showiz aired on UTV, Kwame A-Plus stated that Abena Korkor’s abnormality is being influenced by some hard drugs she mostly consumes.

His comments come following some obscene materials shared by the former media personality on social media, claiming it was a result of her relapses with bipolar disorder.

A Plus stated that Abena Korkor needs to be cautioned about her abuse of hard substances which ends up disrupting her sanity, leading her to rant unnecessarily on social media and tarnish the images of some important personalities in the country.

He also added that the family of Abena Korkor and some people have tried their possible best to help her with her predicaments but she has not availed herself nor has she decided to help herself by limiting the intake of hard drugs.
