At a time that Ghanaian Gospel musicians are totally angry with utterances of George Quaye (Head Communications of Chaterhouse) and have therefore called for the boycott of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Piesie Esther has said categorically that she will be part of this year’s edition.

George opened a can of worms last week relative to the VGMA when he said some gospel musicians bribe their though the award scheme. This has caused outrage among the gospel fraternity with Ohema Mercy, Cwesi Oteng and few others spearheading the boycott of the event.

Piesie Esther thinks the boycott is unnecessary since George has rendered an apology besides he she already submitted her works for review so there is no need to back out.

Esther Piesie is known for hit songs such as Apae ama me and Me nte ase.
