Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeat artist Stonebwoy has finally reacted to the new trend and hashtag #FixTheCountry hovering on social media.

A new trend has been going on on social media after the prices of fuel and taxes shot up a few days ago. Ghanaians have resorted to their social media pages to pour their frustrations by using the new hashtag #FixTheCountry to mount pressure on the government. Some celebrities have also joined the trend by sharing posts with the new hash stage.

Celebrities like Efia Odo have dedicated their Twitter page to the new hashtag created. She has slammed the government on several occasions using her platform. Efia Odo has urged Ghanaians to do something for themselves because the government has failed its people. She further stated that the government dumps the citizen like a “condom” after elections.

In one of the posts from the National Democratic page on Twitter, some names of celebrities were mentioned to join the new trend. Some names mentioned were Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Shatta Wale. According to the page, these celebrities threw their support behind Nigerians during the fight against ENDSars.

In the post they wrote, “@samini_dagaati @sarkodie @stonebwoyb @shattawalegh dem all make quiet. These same people then dem dey push #EndSARS nu oo. Same people go come tell us to support our own yet they can’t fight for their own #FixTheCountry #BlackTuesday”.

In response, Stonebwoy tweeted, “Please if they send you tell Dem to say u no see me o.. which part of the suffering are we not affected by directly and indirectly as Ghanaians. The problem is you the parties Politicizing everything. When you know exactly what To Do..”.
