In the wake of the VGMA 2019 confusion, the government is putting measures in place to prevent musicians from owning guns, something which Ghanaian rapper, Edem has issues with.
The rapper in a recent interview noted that artistes are adult who must protect themselves due to the fact that they have a family and children. So if the government wants to prevent an artiste from carrying a gun then Ministers must also stop carrying guns.
Here are his words;
I mean you’re an adult and you must protect yourself. You have a family, kids, house and so you must protect yourself and your family once it’s licensed. so I don’t think they should cease an adult’s gun once it’s licensed then if so they should also cease ministers who carry guns too, cos all the ministers, corporate people too carry guns.”
