A Ghanaian man of God has stated that Ghana’s Black Stars need strong spiritual backing if they want to do well at the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) which will be held in Cameroon.

The Black Stars will begin preparations for the tournament very soon, however, this man of God who is in the person of Prophet Ogya Nyame says no human effort can help the team.

According to the founder and leader of Kumasi-based Shining Grace Chapel, the only thing the team needs at the moment is spiritual backing.

He stated that if the team fails to get spiritual backing, they will even struggle to go past the group stage.

He made this known during a recent submission in his church and in his submission, he stated that;

“This AFCON, Black Stars needs serious spiritual direction from a powerful man of God. And the direction will require a huge cow to reverse the bad luck. If they fail to do that, even in the group stages they will struggle to progress.”

The tournament will be held from 9th January to 6th February 2022. The Black Stars are in the same group as Morocco, Gabon, and Comoros.

Ghana will be looking forward to win the trophy for the first time in over three decades as the last time the team won the trophy was in 1982 although they have appeared at the finals on other occasions.
