Controversial Ghanaian Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has revealed that he enjoys ‘beefing’ his colleagues because that’s one of the ways of staying relevant in the industry.
The multiple award-winning artiste has been trending in both Ghana and Nigeria for his attack on Nigerian musicians namely Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya. He also directed his ‘missiles’ at veteran Ghanaian musicians Tic Tac and VVIP ‘for selling Ghanaian music cheaply to Nigerians.’
In a Facebook live chat, Shatta Wale revealed that he enjoys ‘attacking’ other musician because it is a way to stay in the music business He debunked the notion that he wanted to have a physical clash with the Nigerian artistes.
According to him, most Ghanaian musicians are not smart enough to understand that ‘beefing’ is a serious business in music.
He said:
They keep saying Nigeria’s population is huge but they don’t know that one must use a strategy to penetrate into their [Nigeria’s] music industry.
Shatta Wale boasted that his attack on Wizkid has earned him a name in Nigeria’s music industry because he is currently trending in that country.
