Political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, aka A-Plus has told Prez Akufo Addo categorically in a new video that he’ll only return to the New Patriotic Party if only he’s able to explain to him why he sacked his good friend, Dr Felix Anyah.
Dr Felix was dismissed under bizarre circumstances in 2018 for no wrong doing. Later, the sources at the Presidency explained that Dr Anyah’s appointment was terminated on technical grounds.
The Public services commission act stipulates in section 8 that the appointment of an officer in the public services must be done in accordance with the advice of the Public services Commission.
In this instance, the Public Service Commission advised that Dr Anyah was above the required age to serve as Korle Bu CEO.
The source added that the government could not engage him on a contract basis (which is usually the alternative) because he had not previously worked or retired from the public service as the constitution requires.
But A-Plus believes the man’s integrity and his willingness to fish out shady dealings within the sector led to his sack and that’s why he (A-Plus) became an ‘enemy’ of the party.
