Ghanaian clergyman and politician Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has stated without mincing words that he’ll spring into a wild celebration if Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah is jailed.

The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) 2020 Presidential Candidate in an interview on Makye show on Onua TV on Tuesday, September, 14 expressed disappointment in his colleague pastor for claiming that he can bribe the security services.

Recall that Reverend Owusu Bempah and his subordinates pastors were nabbed for the creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, and the brandishing of a weapon, and the assault of some police personnel after they stormed the house of rival Nana Agradaa to harm her.

Reacting, Osofo Kyiri Abosom said Rev Owusu Bempah has been pampered in the country for far too long, stressing that it is time for the security to apply the law to serve as a deterrent.

“I pleaded for him to be granted bail because of the fact that he is a popular man of God but I regret doing that after watching videos of him asserting how he pays money to the security and other high-ranking government officials for his parochial interest”.

“Owusu Bempah is not a true man of God and his behavior confirms every allegation put across against him, he reiterated.

Glorious Word Power Ministries International headed by Reverend Owusu Bempah has issued a statement as regards the arrest and detention of the church’s founder.

Read;

“…The church confirms that there was an altercation outside of the church premises on Sunday 12th September 2021 that got one of our junior pastors manhandled and arrested by some unidentified men. The manner of arrest generated into a scuffle that attracted people in the neighbourhood and the church to the scene.”

The statement also says: “The gunshots by the then unidentified men and the call for help from the neighbourhood caught the attention of Apostle Dr Isaac Owusu-Bempah who halted his ministration at the church and moved out to the scene to get details of what was happening.”

The statement then went on to narrate Owosu- Bempahs’s reaction: “Upon being informed that one of his junior pastors has been arrested, he followed up to the Dansoman Police Station and was later informed that he (Junior Pastor) had been taken to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command, where Apostle Dr Isaac Owusu-Bempah proceeded to.”
