Shatta Wale has not hidden the fact that he is in the industry to make money for himself and his family. And at the just ended Ghana Meets Naija concert, he reemphasised this assertion. He said “I’m happy to be on this platform every year. Bola Ray and Empire Entertainment pay me very well. I really like money.”
This year’s Ghana Meets Naija predictably lived up to the billing and patrons indeed got their money worth. The Nigerian acts: Falz, Davido and Tiwa Savage and their Ghanaian counterparts, Shatta Wale,M.anifest,Eno (who arrived on stage in a coffin), Sister Afia and a host of others thrilled the audience beyond their expectation.
Wale’s electrifying performance earned him the title ‘King of the concert.’ This is fifth consecutive time the Dancehall musician has performed at the annual event.
