Kofi Owusu Duah Anto known in the Music Industry as Koda, a Ghanaian Gospel musician has opened up on why he didn’t file for the Western Music Awards (WMA).

According to the Gospel musician, some young gospel artistes have released songs during the year under review and if he had filed for the gospel categories, his songs will be competing them and those artiste would have suffered.

‘There are my young boys who have worked hard in the year under review so ‘Hosana’ in the same category would have being unfair” he said.

When asked on projects he’s done so far, he answered that he has released five (5) albums and still counting.

Westline Entertainment in February launched its third edition of the Western Music Awards (WMA) at the Raybow International Hotel in Takoradi.

The launch was attended by a number of music stakeholders such as Nero X, Osei Bediako, Tailor Rahim, Casta Troy, Yaw Lucaz, Quesi Flex, among others.

The awards scheme was instituted to recognise and honour distinguished music industry personalities from the region who have contributed positively to the growth of the music in the region as well as Ghana.

Organised by Westline Entertainment with sponsorship from Rigworld Training Centre (RTC), the main awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi. Koda was interviewed on YFM Takoradi’s ‘Dryve Of Your Lyfe’ hosted by PM De Presenter.
