Ghanaian singer and songwriter Akwaboah has revealed that he should have won the Album of the Year award.
Akwaboah’s ‘Matters of the Heart’ album was nominated together with Kuami Eugene’s Rockstar’, and he lost out to Kuami Eugene with his ‘Rockstar’ album
Speaking in an interview on Zylofon TV, Akwaboah once again said that,
“I felt very disappointed, till date I still feel disappointed. I think it was given to Eugene. He’s my son. They should take their time, you know Ghana, they can give you a legendary position and the work that has been done doesn’t even match the name they have given to someone,”
Akwaboah continued,
“For me I feel like I’m the electricity in the industry. You don’t see me but I affect you somehow,”
