Reports reaching us from Kenya indicate that the country has finally opened its multi-billion dollar railway project to its citizens.

The project was funded by the Chinese government and it will solve the transportation problem facing the country currently.

The project was estimated to be around US$1.5 billion and its maiden trip took off on the 16 of October 2019.

The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta was on board as the maiden trip took off. He was his ministers of state during the trip.

The railway line connects the capital, Nairobi to the Naivasha, a town that it north-west of the capital. Before it was officially opened, it has already been linked to Mombasa. It covers a distance of 120km and has 12 stations.
