Nigerian born Israel Adesanya, proffessional UFC fighter, decimated his Cuban opponent, Yoel Romero in a tight fist match to defend his title at UFC 248 at the T. Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday morning.

In a unanimous decision, Israel won the title decider matvh with a 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46. Following the explosive clash between two female fighters, Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk moments earlier, the clash between Adesanya and Yoel failed to deliver on the pre-hype as fans booed the fighters and judges at the sound of the final bell at the T-Mobile Arena.

The fight was not as interesting as viewers expected. It was slow paced and lacked urgency and action but Israel was adjudged the winner. The judges’ decision was unacceptable to the crowd as they booed him massively. Most people were of the view that Yoel should have won since Israel didn’t do much to be the champion of the night.

In an interview, Yoel claimed he was robbed and that Adesanya only came to run around the Octagon like Usain Bolt.

Adesanya on the other side said, he did what he had to do to win the fight.

Adesanya quickly turned his attention to Paulo Costa a potential opponent who was on ringside watching the fight. He said:

 “I’ve had over 100 fights in my lifetime and [Costa] is going to come forward and actually fvck with me.

“I’m going to f— this motherfvcker up. I promise that. I see you soon, boy.”
