It took more than 40 minutes for the Stonebwoy-Shatta wale fracas to die down at the recently held 20th edition of the VGMAS. This was a result of Stonebwoy winning the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year for the 5th time in a row.
While Stonebwoy was on stage to receive his award, Shatta wale stood up, and went onto the stage, and this led to all the VGMAS fracas, and so the event got disrupted for 40 minutes and it had to take one man, Samini to calm nerves down.
Chairman General has congratulated Samini for saving the show. On Peace Fm, he said,
“When we needed somebody to calm the place down, Samini was available. He performed soo well and got the crowd to even forgot all that happened. Let’s give him a thumps up, he really-really saved the show, he saved the night paa, big respect to him.”
Samini unfortunately missed out on the Artiste of the Decade award to rapper Sarkodie on the night.
