Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has waded into the ongoing case of the late student of Dowen College, Sylvester Oromoni, who died after being beaten by some of the students of the school.

The young boy, Sylvester was reportedly brutalized by his colleagues for refusing to join their cult. Oromoni died on 30 November after a week of ill-health, said to have arisen initially from an injury sustained on the football pitch.

Reacting to this incident Kanayo O Kanayo has charged the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu to ensure that the deceased gets justice for his death and not allow people to take the law into their own hands.

In his view, despite the closure of Dowen College, shutting down the school is not enough justice or punishment for what happened.

In his words;

“Dear Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, after the EndSARS protest has been fought, you have another challenge on your hands.

The case of the 12-year-old Sylvester, your son cannot be swept under the carpet. It is not enough to shut down the school. Do not, your Excellency, do not allow people take laws into their hands.

It is something that should be brought to book immediately. Thank you Excellency”
