Patapaa’s famous ‘Sco Pa Tu Mana’ phrase which he spewed on ‘Daavi Neba’, a song by Kawoula Biov, has found its way into Urban Dictionary and Dictionary.com, two of the world’s leading digital dictionary.

Yeah you read right! The song which sparked a social media frenzy where people recorded themselves trying hard to decode/mimic the unorthodox rap verse spilled on the song by the Agona-Swedru native has officially been recognized as a lexicon.

Skopatumana (variant spelling) has undoubtedly sustained Patapaa’s relevancy (remember people said he will soon fizzle out into oblivion once the aura surrounding his One Corner dies) because this is a huge endorsement for his brand.

Dictionary.com defines Sco pa tu mana is a “nonsense” phrase made popular by a rap by the Ghanaian musician Patapaa. While Urban Dictionary says the phrase has various meanings depending on context and can be used in a variety of ways.

How is Sco pa tu mana used?

Urban Dictionary gave two examples about the usage of the gibberish word. “Fat girls usually have tighter “scopatumana” and “This red dress reminds me of our “scopatumana.”

“I really be walking around saying, “ sco pa tu mana” without even knowing what I’m saying,” according to Dictionary’s example.

Both dictionaries trace the origin of the word to Ghana but according to Dictionary,  curious fans have discovered that sco pa tu mana coincidentally resembles expressions in Hawaiian, Malay, and Indonesian.

This is a welcoming news to the Pa2pa General and his fans who believe Patapaa has indeed come to stay in the music industry.
